Jamie's cooking his way across the United States to discover the real taste of America.
He heads to recession-hit Georgia in the heart of the Deep South to learn how to make great food in dire straits.
"When I arrived yesterday they called it Bloody Monday," explains Jamie. "70,000 people lost their jobs yesterday."
"I'm looking for the best quality food that doesn't cost the earth."
On his journey, Jamie will be looking for cheap cuts to make tasty dishes, taking tea and cake with society ladies and learning to cook pork with 30,000 hardcore barbecue fans.
