The 1000 worker cook off was a winner but the real challenge is convincing Rotherham employers to invest in the project long term and supply their staff with pots, pans and the time to learn.
A handful of HR managers are confident they could implement change but what the project really needs is council backing. Jamie has set up a Ministry of Food shop in the centre of town, staffed by his best pupils to give cooking demos and recipe tips. And at the moment Jamie is footing the bill.
