While transforming the lives of eight beginners is one thing, Jamie has set his sights much, much higher. He wants to transform a whole town. So, he heads to Piccadilly for tea with a lady who knows a thing or two about feeding the nation.
Marguerite Patten was part of Britain's original Ministry of Food and one of the country's original celebrity chefs. She gives Jamie some top tips to secure success: "Be awfully careful you're not bringing it back to dictate what we do," she warns him. "Don't lecture people. We didn't wag our fingers."
