7. Hanging basket strawberries (Image 7 of 8)
If you don't have much growing space in your garden get your strawberry plants into a hanging basket.
Not only do these mean you can cram in lots of extra plants but you'll also spare the fruit from being attacked by mildew and slugs. A hanging basket strawberry plant can produce up to 50 per cent more fruit than a plant in the ground.
