Once you've started thinking outside the strawberries-and-cream box, you'll discover that strawberries go really well with other flavours both sweet and savoury.
Balsamic vinegar, olive oil and lemon juice work well with strawberrie. Knock these up into a dressing and suddenly strawberries are an unlikely but gorgeous salad ingredient.
Smoked meats also make a lovely strawberry accompaniment.
For sweet strawberry partners, try ginger and vanilla.
