Pick at least one early and one maincrop carrot to ensure a steady crop from June to October.

For something a little different, try a purple or yellow variety which will be all-the-more tempting for kids.

Amsterdam Forcing 3

Very early variety that is very quick to mature, producing even, cylindrical roots. It has a sweet flavour and is ideal for grating into salads.

Autumn King 2

This maincrop carrot has good flavour and boasts high yields. It stores particularly well too, making it a good all-round choice.

Eskimo

A very cold-tolerant maincrop carrot that can be left over winter in the ground in free-draining soils.

Parano

An early variety that has good resistance to carrot fly. The roots are smooth and cylindrical with a delicious flavour which earnt it a Royal Horticultural Society Award of Garden Merit.

Parmex

These fat, globe-shaped carrots are perfect for growing in containers.

Purple Haze

High-quality maincrop variety with deep violet skin and a bright orange centre.

Yellowstone

Easy to grow with bright, yellow roots that are packed full of vitamins.
