Janet Street-Porter talks about her next pig adventure in her exclusive F Word blog

Janet: "I've agreed to rear all the ingredients for Gordon to cook a mixed grill on a small holding in my valley in North Yorkshire.
I've got the Dexter cattle installed, although they run away every time I go near them (can't imagine why) and they have shunned the scratching post we installed for their enjoyment, preferring to rub against each other or any bits of wire they can find.
Next I went off to meet the pig breeder in Lincolnshire. Where Christine, the expert who helped Gordon rear his pigs, thought I might feel a bit more maternal if she showed me a video of the piglets being born. Ugh! It was just a lot of squelching as far as I was concerned.
She's chosen Mangalitsa pigs, which is a very rare breed, because they produce really flavourful meat. When I saw them I nearly died. Fully grown, Mangalitsa pigs have curly blonde hair! They run at about 30 miles an hour and are really intelligent. Goodness knows what I'll do if any get out, I will never be able to keep up with them.
I ate some sausages made with Mangalitsa pork and they were delicious. When the piglets I'd chosen were old enough to leave their mother, Christine brought them up to meet their new mum (me). Basically they love anyone who gives them lots of food, clean straw and a nice tin bungalow to live in.
They are already a huge hit with the locals, who've never seen anything like them. There've been posses of walkers and kids coming up to look at the fastest piglets in the North!"
