1. I have eaten at Salvo's many times and believe it's ridiculous that everyone is so quick to judge after not much more than 30 minutes of footage. Television is a farce and not always what it seems the reality is the labor and hard long hours put in buy the team day in and day out and yes after 33 years of doing so they're overjoyed to have won such a prestigious award and and deservingly in my eyes. Remember this is about the unsung hero's of food so don't be so quick to twist the knife.

2. Agree with the comments, if the votes from both families were ignored, Prosecco's would have won, and deservedly so. I actually wrote to Ofcom about this. Their response was that it didn't fall within their remit as the audience watching were not voting, the diners in the restaurant were. I think the diners are also the audience, but I guess that's down to interpretation.

4. Prosecco's was the real winner in my mind and, having read the comments, eveyone elses. I felt really sorry for him . Salvos voting was bent. boooooo.

6. Being from Leeds and having eaten great meals at Salvo's many times I did want them to win, but I have to say that I did think their comments and tactical voting was wrong. Maybe the producers should think about letting the relatives have a say but not a vote.

9. I have to agree totally with the comments made. Prosecco were definitely the winners in my mind. The comments made by Salvo's were mean, unjustified and totally calculating. Heidi had total confidence in her husband and the food he could produce without resorting to tactical voting - that speaks volumes!!!!

10. i totally agree with all the other comments. it was not judged fairly enough as Salvos restaurant won because Gip's family and friends should not have been allowed to vote as it was very unfair.In my opinion Salvos is not the best local Italian restaurant in England. I believe there are many other local Italian restaurants in the north of England that give a better family atmosphere and the quality of the food is much better.i have dined in salvos an i did not think the food was up to standard!!

11. Prosecco advertise on my website www.thebestofbristol.co.uk and I was gutted that they didn't win. I absolutely agree with all the comments below and we have started a blog campaign to drum up support for them. If you would like to add a comment go to http://www.thebestof.co.uk/local/bristol/blog. I am going for a meal at Prosecco next weekend to celebrate my sons 21st birthday - thankfully we booked before all this kicked off!!

12. I had the impression that Gordon Ramsay perceived the unfairness of the situation as he made some remarks. It was useless. Hopefully, there will be a new voting system in the coming weeks to guarantee more equity.

13. I was really looking forward to the new series, but the arrogant attitude of the Yorkshire Italians, and there offensive comments have put me right off. If they are not disqualified, I will not be watching again. Shame on you, Gordon!

14. Totally Agree with all the other comment- Prosecco definitely deserved to win.By the way Leeds has far better restaurant than Salvo's. Next time try Casa Mia Grande, La Diva or even the Little Casa Mia. I think the Producer should review the vote counts and not take in consideration "The Family"

15. I agree with all the comments, relative votes should be discounted, by all means use their comments but the mean spirited way that Salvo's family behaved was unfair as was said they were not going to pay for anything regardless, Prosecco won the moral victory.

16. Totally agree, I thought that way Salvo's family voted was tactical and deprived Prosecco of a fair win. Shame on them - I won't be eating there. Producers should take another look at this one in the interest of fair play. (PS never have commented on any TV program before, but felt so strongly about this!!!)

17. DITTO DITTO DITTO - Salvo's wife and bother did not enter into the spirit of the competition and they were both totally one-sided. The winners were undoubtedly Prosecco - As can be seen Prosecco's wife Heidi knew exactly what was at stake but still behaved impeccably and gave credit where credit was due and acted accordingly. I believe we all know who the true winner was on this occasion - shame Gordon let it slip. Carry on Diego & Heidi with your fab cuisine.

Loved the first episode of the new series but have to agree with the other comments that relatives should not vote because Prosecco would have won if that had been the case or at least equalled the votes cast with Salvo's. Prosecco showed great spirit and fairness. Love JSP and look forward to seeing her babies grow!

20. Agree wholeheartedly with the other comments why allow the families to vote? You only need people with the attitude of the Salvo's and you are behind straight away. They wouldn't have paid for anything! Prosecco's wife was an absolute star!

21. The brother and wife from Salvo's last night were bang out of order. Gordon or numerous other Michelin quality chefs could have put a perfect dish in front of them, said it was from Prosecco and they would not have paid. THEY NEVER HAD ANY INTENTION OF BEING FAIR. They should be disqualified despite putting out what I felt was a better meal. If the series continues like this it will make a mockery of the whole competition.

23. Think the Salvo family played very unfair! Mean and miserly spirit displayed! Salvo to be disqualified! Producers should def look into that as both parties took competition v seriously and meant alot to both of them. Salvo cheated! Well done to the winners Prosecco!!!

26. I watched last night's Italian restaurant cook off. They shouldn't have included the relative's vote! Prosecco lost by 2 votes and that was because the relatives of Salvo's decided not to pay! I think that was strategic. The votes were not fair at all.
