Michael walks Janet through the slaughter process. The calves will be shot with a stun gun before they are killed, by having their throats cut.
A thoughtful Janet is silent as she takes it all in. She's been to abattoirs before but never witnessed the slaughter of animals she's reared herself.
"Do you ever have farmers who can't face watching it?" she asks.
"No," says Michael.
