Spirits are high in the kitchen and the diners are mostly impressed. 36 out of the 50 pay for pudding. It's good but not good enough to beat the Appleton-Blatts.
But the Griffin brigade are still riding high.
"We'll come back tomorrow if you like," says Angela and husband agrees.
"It's the hardest day's work I've ever done but I'd do it all again tomorrow night." He offers.
