While Gordon tackles celebrities in the F Word kitchen, roving reporter, Tom Parker-Bowles, heads to Sardinia, in search of the world's most dangerous cheese - Casu marzu.
More punchy than parmesan, more risky than Roquefort, this delicacy has been enjoyed by generations despite its USP - it's full of maggots.
Only a handful of people know the technique to making this rotten pecorino cheese and its future is at risk since a European court ruling banned it 30 years ago.
Tom's guide Efisio, who runs Mediterranea restaurant in Sardinia, tells Tom to ‘squash the maggots to get the flavours out’. Boldly, Tom gives the funky fromage a go.
"I wouldn't eat it every day," he says, "but I'd defend it to the death."
