Under Gordon's watchful eye it looks like the Cherry-Oliver brigade are rising to the challenge. A successful main course means they could challenge the Appleton-Blatts for the top spot.
"That is cooked beautifully," says Gordon as another pink fleshed fillet comes out of the pan.
But while Gordon sings praises, Neneh thinks the brigade got sloppy. The diners agree. Only 27 out of 50 of them are happy to pay for their main course complaining about unseasoned mash and overcooked beef.
If these guys want to chef to impress, they're going to have to pull something special out of the bag for pudding.
