As part of his mission to get the nation eating healthily, marathon veteran Gordon heads to south London to meet aspiring London marathon runner, Ben. Just two weeks before the big day, Ben should be in good shape but he's far from fit.
"Have you ever seen the movie 'Run Fatboy Run'? asks Gordon encouragingly, as they set off for a quick jog around the park.
His shoddy diet means that despite months of training, Ben hasn't lost any weight. So Gordon takes the reluctant runner out of his takeaway comfort zone and shows him how to recreate his favourite Thai curries at home for a fraction of the calories.
They cook a simple Thai-style beef stir-fry with lean beef for protein and rice for carbohydrates - that means energy for the run.
"I'm gonna put a spurt on in the beginning," says an optimistic Ben, "if you're too slow I'll catch you up."
Gordon simply laughs.
