The main course is more than just dinner; it's the culmination of months of hard work. Gordon's serving up Janet's veal calf, accompanied by the beer he's brewed in his own back garden.
"Pull out all the stops to make sure Elton didn't die in vain," says Gordon as the brigade get cracking on a dish of veal marsala with sautéed vegetables.
Happily the girls are back to their winning form.
"I can't believe the way you're working," says Gordon. "It's night and day from the starter."
