What was the last thing you ate?

Nic: A tuna sandwich.
Mel: All the food I've just been cooking like the clams and the angel hair pasta.

What would you most like to have for dinner tonight?

Nic: I'd like to have the clams that we made with Gordon today.
Mel: Champagne.

What would be your perfect picnic location?

Nic: On the beach.
Mel: Beach.

What's the weirdest thing you've ever eaten?

Nic: Ostrich.
Mel: Eel.

How good are you in the kitchen?

Nic: Out of marks out of 10? About seven or eight.
Mel: I like to think I'm fairly good.

Tell us about a food dream you've had

Nic: I think I dreamt last night I was cooking already I was so nervous. I don't know what I was cooking. But I'm always dreaming about eating loads and loads of junk.
Mel: I dreamt of cooking the night before because I was pretty anxious.

What's your favourite kitchen gadget?

Nic: I love my tongs.
Mel: I love a kitchen gadget, I've got so many - the most useful is my small blender.

What makes you sick?

Nic: Goat's cheese, because it tastes like vomit.
Mel: I can't do hard boiled eggs or liver or kidney anything like that.

Is food better than sex?

Nic: It depends what food and who you're having sex with.
Mel: (Said slightly sheepishly as it's in front of her mum) Food is better.

Fat chips or French fries?

Nic: French fries.
Mel: French fries.

Marmite or marmalade?

Nic: Both.
Mel: Marmite.

Gordon, Hugh or Jamie - shag, shoot or marry?

Nic: Marry Gordon, shag Hugh and shoot Jamie.
Mel: Shag Gordon, marry Hugh, shoot Jamie.

What's in your fridge right now?

Nic: Loads of chicken, loads of vegetables, loads of yoghurt, peanut butter, milk and kids food, stuff like that.
Mel: An out of date chicken, some out of date guacamole, some hunger shot, some old pitta bread and some mushrooms.

What's your guiltiest snack?

Nic: Oreos.
Mel: Everything, crisps, chocolate, pizza, more crisps, more chocolate.

What was the favourite thing that your mum cooked that you like?

Nic: My mum cooked a really good sausage and mash with gravy.
Mel: Gammon, lentil and cabbage soup.

Is there any dish that your mum taught you to cook?

Nic: Chicken with mushroom sauce.
Mel: Cheese fondue which I now cook better than her.
