After two hours hunting the hostile hogs, the boys are still no closer to catching their prey. Master tracker, Major Bobby, gets something in his sights but the animals are too quick even for this military man.
"Did we scare them off?" asks Gordon.
"They smelt you," says the Major.
They track on and come across a hog caught in one of the Major's traps.
"He does not look happy," says Gordon.
"We'll have to shoot him," says Major Bobby. "When the pig gets out of the cage our drill will be to jump up on top of the cage. His instinct will be to charge you but we have to stay calm."
