The menu has been confirmed for the seventh week of Cookalong Live: The series - pair with these perfect wines and enjoy!
Recommended by Vincent Gasnier, Master Sommelier

Vincent says: "Soup is always a tricky match so the best match is a wine which is dry, refreshing, and without too many flavours which would interfere with the dish." Match your roast chestnut, parsnip and apple soup with:
Bellingham 'The Maverick' Chenin Blanc, 2007, Coastal Region, South Africa
£8.99, Waitrose, all branches
Soave Classico Suavia
£9.99, Majestic (buy 2 save £4 = £7.99)

To go with your Christmas paella, Vincent suggests:
Waimea Estate Pinot Noir, 2007, Nelson (New Zealand)
£11.99, Majestic (buy any 2 New Zealand wines save 20% = £9.59)
Knappstein Hand Picked Riesling, 2007, (Australia)
£8.99, Majestic (buy 2 save £4 = £6.99)
Vincent's tasting notes:
Pinot Noir, Brouilly style wine is great with this main as paella is quite rich and monkfish is a meaty fish so can take the flavours well.
The red could be served slightly chilled to reinforce the fruitiness (allow 30 minutes in fridge before serving).
If you prefer white, then a perfect match is something juicy and aromatic, such as Sauvignon (i.e. Menetou Salon) or Riesling from Clare Valley in Australia (Knappstein).
