Choppers at the ready. Here's what you'll need to take part in Cookalong Live: The series week 6.

Note: The Cookalong isn't being repeated on Saturday, but you can watch it all again on Channel 4 Catch-up

You will need

Serving

Plates

4 x bowls for starter, main and dessert
4 x sets of cutlery for starter, main and dessert

Handling

Oven glove

Clean cloth for wiping down between courses
2 x tea towels
Kitchen roll
Large serving spoons

Preparing

Food processor

Tin opener
Garlic crusher
Food processor (you will need to wash this between courses)
Piping bag and small nozzle or a small sheet of greaseproof paper

Mixing and fixing

Mixing bowls

1 x spoon spatula
1 x wooden spoon
1 large bowl
2 x medium bowls
1 x palette knife / fish slice

Chopping and grating

Grater

Sharp knives - one large, one small
Extra spoons, forks and knives
Extra plates
1 x chopping board
1 x grater

Cooking

Frying pan

1 x large saucepan and lid
1 x non-stick frying pan
1 x large sauté pan

  2. The programme is on too late. I find the tempo quite jittery and nervewracking to cook along with! Gordon's camera honed 'nice guy' personality is unfamiliar and strange, and it was clear that he had difficulty in chatting to Alan Carr and keeping his attention on the food at the same time. Having said that, I did find the programme entertaining and will continue watching as there are always informative segments.

  4. Hmmm. I'm a little worried about the piping bag & nozzle! I have one - but was so rubbish at it, I invested in a squeezy bottle instead
