  4. I always weighed 48kg while living in Australia. I wasn't skinny at this weight as I have a small frame and I am rather short (5'4) this weight was healthy for me as I ate well. Upon moving to the UK I gained 8.5 kg bringing me to a weight of 56.5 kg, at this weight I looked bloated and chubby. I ate as I always had which is pretty much whatever I felt like, and not really a balanced diet. 7 weeks ago I began to eat only fish, meat and vegetables, plus whole wheat breads and on weekends I allowed myself to eat take away and out with friends. I am now 51 kg so nearly back to my old weight in 7 weeks. Is this too fast? Have I lost too quickly or is this healthy?

  7. My problem at the moment is that I am very skint, and work long hours in a callcentre. I sit at a desk all day, and crave sugar to keep me going. I want to eat well, but one, there is only one microwave at work, 170 of us, two a cheap vending machine of sugary heaven, and three I find it very hard to eat healthily on a low, and I mean LOW budget. I mean, seriuosly, I need to feed 2 of us on MAX ?40 a week more often abotu ?30 and my fiance works 12 hour shifts in a factory so he needs very filling food. I need very cheap, healthy and quick recipies that can be put into microwave tubs, and also cheap and very filling snacks. So before I think of joining anyhting, I need to know- can my budget afford it, I mean the extra ?10 a week is going to be a major dent in funds at the moment. Is it worthwhile, are the recipies given expensive or not? Can anyone answer me?

  8. I Girls I've just bought the cook book and I want to cook myself thin. I just started an exercise program to swim laps for 1 hour and walk for 45 min daily. Then I've created a daily menu for 32 days using your recipes and staying under 1500 calories per day. I want to reach my goal by May 14 2010. wish me success. Crystal

  10. Mztete, if you are having a hard time giving up fried foods and want to lose weight, you should seriously research hydrogenation. Once you read what hydrogenated and partially hydrogenated foods are - and what exactly they do to your body, you may not have such a hard time giving them up. Essentially every forkful of chicken and fish that you swallow - if it is fried in hydrogenated oil - is depositing fats into your heart. Basically, would you rather live? or die young?

  22. I have just started watching your show, and I have to say I'm hooked!!! I'm 21 years old, 5"10 180 lbs. and I have been trying for so long to get back to my old size (147 pounds) before the dreaded freshmen 15 crept up :( I've always been very health conscious, and the extra baggage I've been carrying around for the past few years is always lowering my self-image. My goal is to get back to 160 by the end of summer. I'll keep watching you girls for all your marvelous cooking tips and thanks so much for all your help :D

  36. I hate that when you explain you want to lose a dress size the smallest even offered is a 6. I am very small boned. I mostly wear a 6, sometimes a 4...but I still have body fat that needs to go. No, I am not anorexic...as I said...I have very small bones. I wish it was just ok to say you are over weight to people and lose and tone without being looked down at simply because you 'look' small in your clothes. I am trying your food anyhow. I figure it's a good habit/lifestyle no matter who you are. So far we've had 3 meals and the entire family has loved them. Thanks for getting it on the air.

I am very busy and really try to cook healthy, but it seems like all the weight loss cookbooks I have bought have so many ingredients I hate cooking them because of the time and expense it all takes. I am very excited about starting you program with the healthy eating. I just LOVE you show and and think that this is what so many mons and wives need, a way to cook healthy that is easy and tasty. Thanks so much!!

  44. Can you PLEASE help me? How can I be on Cook yourself Thin show? I have been trying yo-yo diets for years. I am 20 lbs. overweight and feeling very down about myself. It's so hard to get myself on a daily routine. Going to the grocery store is so confusing; and I find myself putting the wrong items in the basket. I NEED to put the right foods on my list and stick to it! I would love for you to do an episode where you take me shopping with a list of the right foods to eat, and then teach me how to prepare them. Having a list of foods is so important. I am one of those people that need to follow a weekly regiment until it’s completely stuck in my head! I cook for my three sons and husband, so going off the band wagon is so easy......Help me get the program started. I would love to be a part of your show. I want to feel healthily again, looking forward to hearing from you! Terri Allendorf

  45. As a police dispatcher I sit in front of 2-3 computer screens talking to citizens or telling officers where to go for 10-15 a day, 4-6 days a week. Typical with most dispatchers is the seditary job and the habit of snacking and not able to eat well prepared meals regularly. Lunchs are half hour but not all leftovers are worth eating so fast food becomes a bad habit. Try walking during lunch which means eating quickly during 15 minute breaks. Have started watching your show on BBCA and look forward to trying some of your recipes for potential warm up the next day. My goal is to lose 20-25 pounds. But I do give myself more than your six week challenge. Have put myself on a waiting list for your book through my local library. Very rarely purchase cookbooks but may just get yours for writing notes. Thank you for the unique ideas I have already seen through your show.

  55. A great way to lose weight is to start dancing and of course, watch your calories. I strted taking Swing Dance lessons about 6 months ago and lost 40 pounds and went from a size 26 to a 22. And about 6 weeks ago, I have cut my calorie intake to 1500 a day. by doing that, I went from a 22 to an 18. And I am still losing. It's hard but it can be done. Keep the faith. Prayer helps a lot too. :)

  63. Im a size 12, or 14 on a bad day, and thhough i think the recipes are an excellent way to encourage healthy eating. However i think this diet calculator promotes unhealthy and unrealistic goals, i could never reach a size 6 no matter how healthily i ate and how much i exercised so it seems absurd that it's promising i can be that size in 3 months.

  64. In Mid November I was a size 22...Overweight to say the least. It was a decision on my part to consult my doctor and join a special weight clinic she has developed at her office. It is Feb. 15, 2009 and I am now a size 12! My stomach has shrank considerably and I have developed healthy habits I hope to keep for the rest of my life. I am nearing 40...I would like to make it to 80 if I can. Consult your doctor...Get support from your friends, and if you cant find anyone around to support you and love you through this battle. Love yourself enough to get moving! Walking for me is the perfect exercise. From time to time I do sit ups, but I have found since walking, my stomach is about gone. See your doctor! Ask questions, get moving, and love yourself enough to...

  71. Hi Ladies i love you show and have set up my PR decoder to tape all your programs and i watch it over and over and have tried some of your recipes i need your help to drop 2 dress sizes. i try to have a healthy diet. Weetbix or 2 boiled eggs for bfast, lunch is a grilled chicken breast and dinner is chicken and salad, i've lost 9 kilograms by following this diet over 9 months, with loads of cheating inbetwen. i had mhy wedding as an incentive now that that's over i've strayed, esp since coming back from our honeymoon where we cruised the far east. Plse help me i love eastern foods, and loads of spice i also love pizza and chips not hot chips but crisps and dips when entertaining. Also love sweet puddings and chocolate Rene

  72. I think the programme is fantastic and after over 30 years of dieting, finally makes sense. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I have had my metabolism (and probably thyroid) messed up by dieting and diet aids over the years and am so happy to find a way to start being 'normal'. I am going to start today with the Egg Fried Rice and Prawn meal. Thanks Gals! You are amazing!

  73. I would love to start eating healthy but still enjoy alternative foods rather than just salads all the time. . .
