Four super competitive cooks from West Yorkshire take it in turns to host their idea of the perfect dinner party over four nights

They score each others efforts in secret in the battle to be named best host and walk away with a £1000 prize.

Interior designer Ben Huckerby, the 'Elton John of Leeds', hosts in a posh country castle, rubbing cash-strapped artist Jon Wiltshire up the wrong way.

Linda

Linda, Queen of Caribbean cooking

Tensions rise further when straight talking Linda Lennon, the self-styled Queen of Caribbean cookery, discovers Jon's also cooking West Indian. Not to be outdone glamorous trainee science teacher, Jo Mills, hosts a spectacular Spanish themed night – but the silly costumes and Sangria don’t deter Linda and Jon from having a show down.

There's tapas, tensions, top quality cooking and outrage before someone wins the cash....

My mother in law told me about it and asked me to get it for her. many thanks in anticipation. Keep up the good work, best show on telly at the moment, and what about the narrator, he's just the best ever. Lizziegp ps. I still watch all the old ones on sky when they are on.

  25. I'm really enjoying Come Dine With Me. It's just so funny. I think Dave Lamb's commentating makes it into a sort of look how funny people are kind of show, which means it's got character and cooking!
