Angelique pulls out the funny hats for her turn in the firing line on Come Dine With Me Croydon
Single mum and care worker, Angelique Woolston, has a feisty approach to hosting a dinner party.
"If anyone thinks their food is better than mine I'll say 'Yeah? I'll be the judge of that. We'll see'," she says. That's the spirit.
But Angelique's cooking could take second place to the night's entertainment as the guests prepare for a showdown between their host and her nemesis, Christian. Everyone is expecting fireworks. Even Angelique.
"Christian is just Christian at the end of the day," she shrugs, "he's bound to throw a few insults but I'm going to just let it ride."
True to form, Christian has some complaints lined up before he's set foot through the door. Unless Angelique has slaughtered her chicken herself and picked eggs, freshly laid that morning, Christian won't be impressed.
Mindful of Christian's habit of listing his host's mistakes, Angelique keeps the glasses topped up and the plates heated. But he still has plenty more to complain about.
"The best chef in the world couldn't please Christian," says Lulu.
Never mind, maybe Angelique's funny hats will win him over...

Angelique might not have bothered the chicks herself but she has made a tasty bubble and squeak with haddock and poached egg starter.

As tender as could be, Angelique's chicken stuffed with goat's cheese and wrapped in Parma ham was a winner.

Orange chocolate mousse with clotted cream - it's not Terry's, it's Angelique's.
