Political activist, David, will be towing the dinner party line on Come Dine With Me Torbay
David doesn't like good food - he loves good food, and he'll be bringing his best restaurant experiences to his night as host.
"My hosting stills are second to none. I believe my table is going to be well presented and I think my food is going to be fabulous."
Going for the 'wow factor', David is bringing out the bling with gold cutlery and plates. He even calls for a chauffeur to take him to the shops in style - don't we all, dahling?
Then to put the final touches to his presentation, he nips off for a quick eyebrow pluck. "David aspires to a higher style of life and one day he might achieve it," says Patrick.
Sadly, David's divine table was not prepared for Gavin, who kneels on a chair and goes right through it. Quick as a flash, Carol swaps her chair with him, but Gavin breaks that too. At least the embarrassment of breaking the furniture means Gavin keeps his thoughts about disliking seafood to himself and attempts to eat David's starter.
With David at the helm, it seems tonight might be the night for an innuendo free conversation, but there's no sign of a reconciliation between rivals Carol and Patrick.
"Carol has gotten kind of difficult again," says Patrick.
"He's rude and nasty," says Carol.
Ding, ding! Round three.

Kicking off the evening in style, David served king prawn and queenie scallop salad.

Catering for all tastes, Brie-stuffed supreme of chicken with potato rosti and Madeira sauce, with a non-cheese version for Gavin.

David finished with raspberry crunch - his own recipe combining raspberries, cream and caramelised sugar.
