Haughty host, Sharron Robbie, thinks her dinner is the bee's knees in Come Dine With Me Plymouth

Sharron considers herself the grande dame of dinner parties. Everything is a competition to this driven dinner party diva, whether she's at work, playing sport or hosting a soiree on the Plymouth social scene

Sharron's spent the week turning her nose up at her rivals' food and bullying David. But the boot's on the other foot now and expectations are high for this haughty hostess. Not that she's bothered. "I know I'm really good. I know I deliver. I know that people will enjoy coming to my house in 10 years time," she boasts. Probably not David, though.

So confident is Sharron of her supreme supper skills, she barely notices her guests aren't gushing over her faux-fancy food. "Of course it's going well," she muses oblivious, "What do you expect?"

Back in the dining room and David can barely conceal his delight at his nemesis' failures. The mash is lumpy, the duck is overcooked and it seems the tables have turned. "Sharon had to put her food where her mouth is and it didn't get there," laughs David, in an almost scathing riposte.

Starter

soup de crevette

It was pretty as a picture but the guests weren't bowled over by Sharron's soup de crevettes.

Main Course

roast breast of duck

Over cooking spoiled an otherwise tasty dish of roast breast of duck with mustard mash and caramelized red onion gravy.
Unfortunately we can't bring you Sharron's recipe but try Hugh's roast duck recipe instead.

Dessert

summer syllabub

Not one for the weight conscious, Sharron served a 'fat girl pudding' of summer syllabub.
Unfortunately we can't bring you Sharron's recipe but if you're after a fruity fix, give Gordon's lemon and lime syllabub recipe a go.

  1. I felt sorry for David, she was a total bully, she seemed to revel in making him miserable, that is not on, and she needs to really learn about people and come down a peg or two.

  4. I have just been watching the episode of Carla cooking, and I am disgusted with the way Sharron has treated David!!! It is clear that she is bullying him, and behaving disgusting, and I am really disappointed that channel four have shown it. She should be ashamed of herself!!!! She is just a big bully, and know-it-all! She obviously acts this way because she is a very insecure person. Her family and friends must be so proud to know her! (NOT!!!!)

  5. I live in Australia and am just watching the Series 5 - Plymouth edition. I am absolutely appalled at the bullying behaviour of Sharron Robbie against David. Where does she get off treating someone like that? She should be ashamed!!!!!

  6. I really do not like Sharron Robbie, the comments below say it all, it was just constant bullying and putting down that David was subjected to. He is such a lovely guy and came across same. What reason has Sharron got to treat him this way except to hide her own insecurities!! Sharron, I hope when you watch the program afterwards, that you realise how awful you come across and think about how you treat others.

  7. Sharon you are a bully! I was overwhelmed at your constant desire to put David down and to elevate yourself. Clearly you only like the sound of your ideas and views and you have a complete lack of social skills. I am hoping that after you have watched the show you will take time to reflect and watch how hurtful you can be.

  8. Whoa there! An utter failure after all that big talk, serves her right for being such a despicable person. Have another spoonful of that delicious pudding and dry your tears, you quivering mass of flesh. Wibble wibble!

  9. Sharron Robbie's treatment of David Martin was outrageous and a classic example of bullying. She went out of her way to be downright mean and unkind to him. Her scoring of his meal was clearly driven by his dislike of him as a person rather than his food. If this had been three men bullying a lone woman - the complaints would have been flooding into Channel 4 this morning.
