Unrequited love, balloon animals and ranty diners - it was an action-packed week when Come Dine With Me went to Northampton
A keen-streak on the ski scene, Kirsty Frior drew on her chalet memories for her Alpine-French inspired menu but her guests were not feeling the love for her unseasonal mulled wine aperitif. William proved to be an outspoken guest and Alex found himself drawn to more than his host's tartiflette.
Night two and it's William's turn to host. His guests are concerned they won't get a word in edgeways but last night's Mr Noisy proves to be the most charming of hosts. Alex finds a new love for William - it's in his wine cellar and the group bond over romantic anecdotes.
Shoe fan Jenna thinks a dinner party is all about presentation and not so much about the food. Her guests wait three hours for dinner, while Jenna puts some final touches to her asparagus bundles. Her table is pretty, though.
Angela hoped to tame her fellow Scot by serving haggis but her English guests were put off by offal. Maybe her handicrafts are enough to win her some points? Meanwhile, Alex continues his pursuit of Kirsty.
The love offensive continues on night five, as Alex turns to balloon modelling to win Kirsty's heart. Sadly she's more interested in his missing starter and is not impressed that a kitchen accident means there's less to nibble on. The course of true love never did run smooth.
