Glamour girl, Abi, should be sitting pretty as the previous chefs in celebrity Come Dine With Me have failed to cook up a storm. But she's still nervous about pleasing such high maintenance dinner guests

Abi admits she likes a challenge and will be cooking an epic five course extravaganza completely from scratch. But the lad's mag lovely has done her groundwork, reading her recipe book front to back. She starts with the tapenade but there's a problem with the blender. She's forgotten the blade. There are some things you just don't get from book learning.

Before her guests arrive Abi runs through her raunchiest front covers. "This was the first one I did," she explains holding up a nude shot. "And then all of a sudden I'm a glamour model. I just thought they'd be pics to show the grandkids." What grandchild wouldn't want to see Granny in the buff, bar a strategically placed telephone wire?

As well as her mammoth menu, Abi's also pulled the stopper out of a bottle of £2000 wine. Paul and Linda are impressed but it seems Lesley's only got eyes for Rodney. The pair have been giggling and flirting all week and it's all Abi can do to get a word in.

Four courses in and her guests' constant criticisms are wearing her down. "It's like trying to impress a bunch of philistines," she moans. "One more night and I do not have to have dinner anymore with these people."

Canapés

Canapés

On arrival Abi served her guests a selection of homemade canapés including cream and basil stuffed tomatoes, smoked salmon on rye bread and quail eggs.

Starter

Mango and grape salad

Having scoffed the hors d'oeuvres, Abi's guests received a starter of melon, grape and grapefruit cocktail.

Main Course

Chicken in ham

Abi's main meal included chicken breast wrapped in prosciutto stuffed with olive tapenade all served with Dauphinoise potatoes and carrots.

Dessert

Trio of sweets

For pudding Abi served a trio of sweets - mint panna cotta, raspberry coulis and tuiles amandines. Unfortunately, we can't bring you Abi's dessert recipes but why not try these vanilla pannacotta, summer pudding and vindaloo ice cream cone recipes instead?

Petits Fours

Petits Fours

Finally Abi ended her evening with white chocolate strawberries and homemade rose and vanilla chocolate truffles. Unfortunately, we can't bring you the recipes for Abi's petits fours but for a similar effect try these strawberry petits fours and chocolate truffles instead.

  2. Abi what can i say-never had an opinion on you before i saw this-I could actually feel your pain! what a nightmare of guests! from being slated while they read your (very impressive) menu, to being reminded to bring out the hors d'ouerves with the drinks as you were taking their drinks orders, being criticized during each course of the meal-honestly it as just horrific!that bottle of wine was wasted on them!bravo on keeping the chin up and surviving those dreadful people.

  3. Well Abi Who is the REAL celebrity? Paul Ross? described on a biography site as 'the other Ross trained as a journalist that makes occasional tv appearances' and quoted as saying "I'm opinoinated irratating occasionally amusing (about twice a decade)but have a great memmory for rubbish" He failed to add and very rude. Rodney Marsh? who had a great football talent but is generally thought to have under achieved with only 9 England caps and played a lot of the time in the 2nd and 3rd divisions. He did of course make an impact at Tampa when 'Soccer' was in it infancy in th USA. Well at least he did know the quality of your wine. Now was that personal experience or after dinner speaking? Yes you could have hired him for your dinner if he had not been there as a 'celebrity' Well thats what a QPR website says. Lesley Joseph? An actress that I always recognise but have to think hard before realising that the only thing I actually remember her for is a supporting role to the two main players in "Birds of a Feather" But to give her credit she did turn her role into a major part. Also she did take it well when her food was a nightmare. Linda Lusardi? Without doubt best know (excluding you of course)of your dinner guests. But her "celebrity" is founded as a page 3 girl having said that she was the best.(I should know because I remember the fantasy well) But I have to wonder how she would have got out of the 'Tax Office' job these days when page 3 is in such decline. So a decade of page 3 some Panto a bit in the Bill and a year in Emmerdale. Even she is quoted as saying she would not have done any of that if she had not been a page 3 girl. Nothing wrong with that and she is a minor celebrity. So I looked up 'Celebrity' and it was defined as Someone that "commands a high degree of public and media attention"!!! Sounds like that is you Abi so my research took me to Google (well of course I knew it would prove me right) and after getting through the first 20 pages of the listings for Abi Tittmus I declare you as the one that "commands the highest degree of public and media attention". So Abi not only are you the biggest celeb, you did the best food by far, you made the most effort to prepare everything yourself, you are charmingly modest, dignified and delightful. YOU WERE THE OUTRIGHT WINNER in all categories. Next time invite me I will appreciate you as the perfect hostess -- and let you get a word in. ( No I am not Mickey Rourke)

  4. I'm sorry my question has nothing to do with cooking but I watched the episode with Abi Titmus and absolutely loved the bright pink floral mural on her dining room wall. Would you be so kind as to let me know where she purchased the mural as it would go perfect in my bedroom. Thank you ever so much. Vicki. x

  5. Abi blanently should have won. She had the most professional menu and went to the most effort. She was hindered by the massive competing egos.
