First up to bat in Blackburn is part-time caterer, Kelly Barlow, who loves food so much she even dreams in recipes. A fan of a plan, Kelly lives her life by the rule of the six Ps - prior preparation and planning prevents piss poor performance
Unfortunately she can't plan her guest list and the first spanner in the works, sorry, guest to arrive is Michelle, who turns up with a bottle of bubbly. That's bubbly lemonade – Michelle doesn’t like getting drunk.
Next up is wine fanatic Steve. "Don't call me a connoisseur, Kelly, I hate that word, it's so pretentious," he drawls. "I'm not a wine bore." We'll be the judge of that Steve.
For starters Kelly's opted to serve her clam chowder in a bread roll. Well, it saves on the washing up. But it doesn't go down well with catty Stephen: "Eating soup through a one inch hole, with a spoon of the same diameter, presents one with quite a dinner challenge," he sneers. And the ratatouille main course doesn't fare much better. "It was more of a concassé. Ratatouille needs to be layered," muses unpretentious Steve.
But Kelly's not going down without a fight. In a final bid to secure some points she presents her rivals with a commemorative t-shirt each emblazoned with the phrase, 'I bin on't tele wi Kelly'. "I might rub the dog with it," grunts Stephen.

After cocktails and canapés on the patio Kelly got her party started with a plate of clam chowder served in sourdough bread.

For her main meal Kelly served John Dory fillets with truffle mash and ratatouille.

To finish things off Kelly served her all time favourite cherry pie with custard.
