Mystery diner, Liz, is used to critiquing meals and is confident her own cooking will come up to scratch on Come Dine With Me Southampton. "In general, if I was giving myself marks out of 10, on a good day I'd definitely give myself a 10," muses Liz. "And this is going to be a good day."

In order to impress her guests Liz is making a myriad of different dishes including four different vegetable sides. But before long she's running behind and has to call on flatmate, Jamie, to do some fetching and carrying.

The prep gets finished on time but she still has to cook the steaks. With her guests waiting Liz is feeling the heat but still manages to serve them with a smile.

It's the final night and Danielle is feeling sentimental. "Liz you've made this week for me," she tells her host. The straight talking business woman is obviously moved.

Starter

Smoked salmon on cucmber noodles

To kick things off Liz served a sophisticated starter of smoked salmon on a bed of cucumber noodles with a yoghurt dressing. Unfortunately, we can't bring you Liz's recipe for copyright reasons but for a similar dish try this smoked salmon and avocado recipe instead.

Main Course

Steak el Porto

Liz served steak el Porto for her main course with dauphinoise potatoes, spiced red cabbage, green beans, carrots with almonds and wilted spinach.

Dessert

Marbled chocolate cheesecake

To finish her meal Liz had planned to serve two puds - chocolate ultimo and marbled chocolate cheesecake - but as time got tight she served the cheesecake solo instead. Unfortunately, we can't bring you Liz's recipe for copyright reasons but for a similar dish try this cheesecake cups recipe instead.

  1. I don't see the point of showing the cooking if you won't reveal the recipe(s) used "for copyright reasons". You used to give the credit for a recipe if it was used and publish it anyway. Very frustrating to do the research and then not find the recipe that gets really high marks.
