Deer-collecting deputy head, Peter, is the next Come Dine With Me - South London host to take up the gauntlet - but will his cooking stag-ger his guests?

Peter Rixham describes himself as 'surprisingly single' and it's certainly not because of a lack of equestrian wear: "I've got some riding boots here, never worn them but I thought if someone ever says 'do you want to go riding?' that could be fun."

The timid teacher is hoping his hilarious place settings, attention to detail and classy Mediterranean cuisine will be enough to restore harmony to the group after the drama of last night's 'wine-spill-gate'. Leaving nothing to chance he's even trimming his flowers using a ruler to make sure everyone gets a perfectly equal lily stem. Sounds like tonight will be a riot.

Maybe Peter's musical selection will get the party started; his MP3 player is charged with The Best of Shirley Bassey, Michael Ball Sings The Musicals and up to five other albums of equal excellence. Lisa's a fan though. "You've got wonderful taste in music," she swoons. You've hooked her, Peter, now show her your boots.

Lisa's not the only guest with a surprise up her sleeve - Judi's turned wine into water. Sort of. After redecorating Lisa's couch, Judi's opting for a more sober night. Picking up the slack is super-cynic Matthew who has come over all cuddly about his fellow hosts, and has to take himself off for a moment to reflect on what he's learnt from the week. Beautiful.

Starter

Asparagus

Peter served an elegant starter of asparagus wrapped in Parma Ham with hollandaise sauce leaving off the ham for vegetarian, Moni.

Main Course

Beef bourguignon

The carnivores tucked into a fancy French boeuf Bourguignon, with dauphinoise potatoes, baby new potatoes en papillote and seasonal vegetables.

While Moni was in raptures over her ratatouille.
Unfortunately, for copyright reasons, we can't bring you Peter's recipe but try this ratatouille recipe instead.

Dessert

Chocolate mousse

Peter's rich chocolate mousse with raspberry coulis was the critic's choice, even Lisa wolfed it down.

Unfortunately, for copyright reasons, we can't bring you this recipe but try Gordon's delicious chocolate mousse instead.

  1. I am disappointed to find you are not sharing the recipes from the program. I would have liked several from this series only to see your disclaimer about copyright preventing your from sharing. Very disappointing.
