Self-proclaimed wine expert, Moni, brought her refined palate to Come Dine With Me - South London. She loves fine wines. As long as they're Chateauneuf-du-Pape
Moni is an office manager who loves managing offices. She's also a vegetarian but that doesn’t mean she's boring. People might think she is boring, but she's not boring. Got that? She's not boring.
The picky princess has spent all week singing her own praises and it doesn't look like tonight will be any different. "I never go to dinner parties," she says smugly, "I'm such a good cook that other people are frightened to invite me to their dinner parties." Charming. Tonight, she'll be putting her food where her mouth is, serving a starter of gargantuan prawns and no less than five main courses.
And the wine choice? Is that a Chateauneuf-du-Pape you've got there Moni? Quelle surprise. Moni's wine snobbery means she always travels with her trusty bottle of Chateauneuf, something that's rubbed rival Lisa up the wrong way. But Lisa's determined to get her own back on the haughty host and, with the cunning of a fox, has decided to bring her own favourite wine to tonight's soiree. Brilliant.
In case the excellent wine and superb food aren't enough to win over her guests, Moni's even got her guests gifts. The delighted diners can't contain their excitement as they hurry to unwrap their… stone. Then it's a quick lesson in chapati making to wow the boys. Don't touch them Matthew, they're hot. Or you Peter. Too late. Someone get the ice.

If the prize went to the most impressive crustacean, Moni's king prawn curry would romp it.

Moni dazzled her guests with her five-part mixed thali including lamb curry, chicken curry, aubergine curry and lentil dhal with homemade chapati.
Unfortunately, for copyright reasons, we can't bring you this recipe but you can get your curry on with this soya mince curry recipe.

Proving all that glitters is not gold, Moni crafted this glitzy strawberry cream and champagne surprise cake.
