Kicking off the week in Come Dine With Me - South London is half-American, half-Swedish host, Judi Lembke

As a trained journalist, Judi's strength is making people feel comfortable. And talking. She's very good at talking. As host number one, all Judi wants is for her guests to relax and have a great night at her home: "Kick off your shoes!" she says, "or not!" Anything goes at Judi's krazee house.

But it seems like her rival hosts have their eyes set firmly on the prize. One of tonight's guests has even conjured up a dastardly plan to subtly undermine the other evenings - she's going to bring and demand to drink her own wine. Genius. Surely such a mastermind should work for the Secret Service? Maybe she does - shhhh.

While Judi puts the final touches to her starter, her guests take the opportunity to explore the house and take in some of Judi's interesting art collection including what looks like a vomiting parrot from her husband's 'red wine and long ponytail' period.

The new-found friends are soon having a great time thanks to Judi's super hostess skills - or perhaps it was the schnapps chasers she served in between courses. Either way, they don't seem to care that their half-cut host is dragging her sleeves through the pudding.

Starter

Goat's cheese and onion tart

Judi starts her evening with a crowd-pleasing caramelised onion and goat's cheese tartlet.

Main Course

Chicken piccata

She doesn't know what it is but she gives chicken piccata with vegetables a good bash.

For vegetarian, Moni, it's a scrumptious looking pasta with prawns.
Unfortunately, for copyright reasons, we can't bring you this recipe but you won't be disappointed with this Picchi-pacchi spaghetti with prawns and chilli recipe.

Dessert

Chocolate fondant

Cooks: watch your timers or your chocolate fondant with a custard foam and raspberry sauce might overcook, too.
Unfortunately, for copyright reasons, we can't bring you this recipe but try Gordon's melt in the middle hot chocolate fondants.

  2. I would just like to point out that, despite the fact that Moni calls herself a vegetarian, she is incorrect (and therefore so is the information given here) because if she were a vegetarian, she would not be eating fish/seafood. So, to say that Moni is a vegetarian is wrong, she is, it appears, a pescetarian.

  3. How can you serve prawns as vegetarian? Seriously it is meat, it just happens to be prawn meat. Not only that in terms of the environment it is far worse than eating a mammal or a bird. Grrrrr
