Holistic therapist, Lynne, has had a cold all week which hasn't warmed her much to the other guests. She's not been to keen on her rival hosts' food either, so they're expecting something special from the final meal in Come Dine With Me Portsmouth

But before she can concentrate on the cooking, Lynne's having worries about uninvited guests. There have been sightings of mice throughout the week and Lynne's hoping they won't be popping in for dinner.

Lynne's husband, BD, is on hand to help out in the kitchen but Lynne biggest concern is her liquid refreshment. "Sweetheart, if you don't get me a drink I'm going to have to kill you," she tells her hubby.

The guests arrive and Lynne greets them with a drink but while she chats and relaxes BD's getting worried the dinner is about to burn. The starter is served in the nick of time but instead of cracking on with the main, a laidback Lynne heads for a tour of the house.

But Lynne knows what she's doing and rescues her lamb before it's burnt to a crisp. With glasses and bellies full to the brim, the guests take the party into the hallway where they give their tail feathers a good shake.

Starter

Goat's cheese with plums

After Champagne cocktails on arrival Lynne served a starter of goat's cheese with glazed plums on roasted walnut bread. Unfortunately we can't bring you Lynne's recipe for copyright reasons but for a similar dish try this tasty goat's cheese starter instead.

Main Course

Rolled leg of lamb

For her main dish Lynne (eventually) served rolled leg of lamb with orange, garlic and rosemary, crisp roast potatoes and red wine and mint gravy.

Dessert

Boozy ginger and rhubarb trifle

For her final course Lynne served a boozy ginger and rhubarb trifle with lemon syllabub.
