Last up of the Oxford hosts is banker and semi-professional footballer, Tom Smith

Tom's had a lot of thoughts about his rival hosts' skills and hasn't been afraid to make them known, criticising everything from the hosts' presentation to the way they open a bottle of wine.

But the demanding diner is confident he'll shoot and score with his menu. Tricky Tom has a game plan that he thinks will secure him the votes and the coveted cash prize. His tactic? Pitch the menu at fellow fusspot Adish.

Despite being the baby of the group, Tom's culinary prowess impresses his elders. Even Adish is happy with this menu. "It's everything I eat!" She trills.

And with an impressive cheeseboard of selected local fromages, Tom's also winning favour with food writer Julia.

Tom's a stickler for presentation - "80 per cent of taste is through the eyes," he explains, curiously. But while his table settings are precious, Tom's dinner party banter definitely needs work. When troublemaker Greg has another moan about fresh fish Tom's blue language shocks a delicate Adish.

Will Tom's foul mouth scupper his dinner table tactics?

Starter

Stuffed mushrooms

Tom's starter sets the tone for an impressive menu. He cooked Portobello mushrooms stuffed with goats cheese and thyme, served on a bed of wilted spinach.

Main Course

Tuna steak

He went for a fishy main course for his carnivorous guests with a mustard-crusted tofu option for Adish. Seared tuna with a caper and lemon beurre, on a bed of green beans, served with new potatoes.

Dessert

Banoffee pie

His puddings tasted as they looked. Tom, Juliet and Greg tucked into banoffee pie with a pecan toffee sauce.

Tropical fruit salad

While Adish was treated to an exquisite exotic fruit salad, served in a fresh pineapple.
