A Scotsman through and through, Jimmy discovered his inner Anglophile on Come Dine With Me Dundee

Jimmy might not look like he spends much time in the kitchen, but the feisty Scot is in no doubt that he's the best cook in the competition.
"My level of confidence that I'm going to win is... there are no words to describe it."

A burly man like Jimmy is no expert in aesthetics, so he's roped in his daughter to take care of the girly things like setting the table - and lighting the big rusty fire pit in the garden. Ah! There's nothing like a woman's touch.

Jimmy started the week with a bold statement that he doesn't think English people should move to Scotland, so imagine his surprise to find a new best friend in posho Adam, a man who couldn't get more English if he rode in on a dragon. In fact, the two have grown so close, Adam's brought his host a very special present - underwear.
"They're so cute," says Jimmy, holding up his new pants.

In these tricky economic times, canny cook Jimmy has some bargain ingredients up his sleeve, including using cut price chocolate: "They'll never know the difference!"
Other tips from Jimmy's kitchen include using Marmite to make gravy and sticking Angel Delight in the pudding mix. For extra impact, he's sculpting his main course into the shape of a set of bagpipes, threading green beans through carrots for the pipes and wrapping haggis in steak to make the bag.

Jimmy and Adam were perfect and Tara, Laura and Francis were the perfect trio to support them both. Thanks to all five for their contibution to this show. Jimmy, you are a star, Adam you are brilliant. Hope Laura didn't get fleeched by Francis selling his paintings. Hoping you are all keeping in touch cos you deserve to be friends and I am so happy to have seen this set of CDWM. Good luck to you all.

  2. I nearly choked on my dinner when I saw Jimmy on the TV. I used to live next door to him when I was serving in the Army in Lisburn, Northern Ireland. Just like to posh bloke on this episode, I couldn't understand a word he said but he was a great neighbour and he had a lovely family.
