Like a rose between four thorns, Adam has been doing his bit for Anglo-Scot relations on Come Dine With Me Dundee
Like an inversed Braveheart, Adam has been the token Englishman among some very feisty Scots this week, but he is certain his skills will win him the bills.
"If they like good food they'll enjoy my meal very much," he declares.
Adam's had a few choice words to say about his rivals this week:
"Laura has some very irritating habits and I didn't like her silver eye shadow, either."
"Tara's fake tan was very blotchy and the skin on her heels was revolting."
Even new best pal, Jimmy, came into the firing line for his haggis wrapped steak; "I don't know if I should say it," whispered Adam, "but it looked like a big poo on a plate."
Despite his choice comments, Adam has made some firm friends, most notably with Jimmy, who Adam thinks bears a striking resemblance to his heartthrob, Bruce Willis. Jimmy returns the favour by making his host a lovely collage of the action hero - or is that Jimmy in a vest? Only their mother could tell them apart.
Ever the perfectionist Adam sets to making his fine food even finer. Some people might use a food processor for their meringue but Adam's putting his strong wrists to the test and doing his by hand. No matter that it takes 10 times as long, Adam can rush the rest of the food - watch out for that sharp knife! Too late.

A starter suitably posh for a man with a letter from the queen in his loo - hand dived scallops with pancetta and salad.
Unfortunately we can’t bring you his recipe, but try this scallops with nduja and salsa verde recipe instead.

With a nod to his dad's special sauce, Adam serves pan fried duck with passion fruit sauce asparagus and mash.

Pretty, easy and pretty easy - Eton mess with Champagne.
