
Self-titled ‘dinner party addict’ Marie says cooking for others is her forte and is confident she’ll be crowned host with the most. But, despite the bold talk, she’s keen to take some last minute tips from her restaurateur son. His advice: keep the volume down.
Marie pre-cooks her poached eggs and leaves them in cold water to be reheated just before serving. But her methods don’t go down well with all her guests and James soon finds the starter repeating on him.
As it’s the final night whimsical Vera has a surprise up her sleeve and warns her fellow diners to expect a special guest. Could the saucy chemist have lined up a stripper? No, she explains, her old friend Alan Sugar is popping round for tea.
