Restaurant manager, Andrea Maddocks, is in it to win it. Can she impress with some great Geordie grub?
Geordie lass, Andrea Maddocks is feeling competitive. "Anything I do I am out to win and I generally do," she grins.
In a bid to take the culinary crown Andrea will be serving up some great Geordie grub including 'singing Hinnies' and the classic North East feast – pease pudding.
Singing Hinnies are so called as the flattened dough balls tend to 'sing' when they're fried in the pan. Andrea's are ready to take to the stage but seem to be feeling shy as she can't hear a peep. Let's hope they taste better than they sound.
To get her guests fired up Andrea invites them to flambé their own dessert. There's a bit of stalling at first but it's not long before drag queen, Simon, has the pan smoking.

Andrea served a Geordie take on the classic seaside supper for starters featuring seared scallops, potato wedges and pea puree.

It's Cumbrian chicken for main course with a Newcastle accompaniment of smoked pease pudding and a mushroom cream sauce.
Unfortunately we can’t bring you her recipe due to copyright reasons, but try this chicken breasts with lemon sauce instead.

To finish her meal Andrea served some singing Hinnies with ice cream and some banana flambé cooked by her guests.
