71-year-old Terry White from Liverpool hopes to win over four complete strangers with his classic Cordon Bleu menu. He’s been cooking for over 40 years, but now he’ll have to learn some new tricks.
One of his guests is Nikki, who only eats a strict vegan diet. If he’s got any chance of winning £1000 at the end of the week – he’ll also have to master the art of vegan cookery.
But it’s not just the vegan dishes that will have to make the grade. Terry’s making a traditional scallop starter and it had better be good because also coming to dinner is Dan, a fish monger with very high standards. It’s set to be a challenging night – not least for Terry’s guests, who are lost for words when they’re presented with a very unusual desert.

Coquille St. Jacques
Terry's starter looks nice, and tastes pretty darn fine too!

Beef Wellington With Vegetables
A noble centrepiece from Terry White.

Roasted Red Potato Salad
This strong root vegetable salad is the perfect accompaniment.

Crepes Suzette With Black Cherries
Terry finished up with a classic French dish (with a cherry on top).
