Night three in Cambridge and it’s the turn of house husband and home grown produce fan Phil Webb, who’s hoping to impress his guests with a menu of pork straight from his own little piggies.
With some high levels of presentation from the first two hosts Phil has decided to play down his cooking skills describing himself to the others as a basic cook.
However when the guests arrive Phil confesses he’s secretly competitive and hopes they mark him highly.
After a first course of pork liver pâté served with home made bread it becomes obvious that Phil has been telling porky pies about his so called “basic cooking” and the women tell Phil his tactics are extremely irritating.
His second helping of pork for his main course is only let down by his vegetables being a bit cold. When he serves his lemon tart the women quiz him about being a house husband.
Housewife and self-described domestic goddess Simone Brenneis says she couldn’t bear for her husband to try and compete with her with the housework.
Over the course of the evening Phil’s gone from “can’t cook won’t cook” to “Masterchef” but has the evening left a sour taste with his guests?
