It’s day two in Edinburgh and the turn of 67 year old vegetarian and wine critic Paul Dwyer. As a huge fan of Northern Italy, Paul is planning a meat-free Tuscan menu for his guests, much to the disgust of carnivore Tanya who is concerned that she’ll be so hungry at the end of the night that she’ll have to stop for a kebab on the way home.
After just one evening together there are already ructions – Tracy is not a fan of the rather talkative James, and tonight she’s not too happy with Paul either. He’s been a wine lover from an early age and likes nothing more than educating people about his precious plonk.
So he decides that each bottle he serves will be accompanied by a lecture – sadly Tracy isn’t so keen, and is soon telling him to pour rather than bore.
So will Paul’s lengthy lectures send his other diners to sleep? Or can he surprise his guests with his veggie food and heal the rifts with his fine wines?

Panzanella
Paul's Italian influence comes in straight from the off

Mixed Mushroom Risotto
And runs nicely into this silky risotto recipe

Sorbetto Di Vino (Red Wine Sorbet With Raspberries)
And for dessert? An Italian sorbet - fantastico!
