It’s day two in Belfast and tonight, twenty-seven year old Marty Henderson is hosting the dinner party.

So far the guests have very little faith in Marty and he’s been written off as a “cocky lad” who will be serving up beer but in reality, Marty has been a keen chef from a young age with cooking classes under his belt.

Marty kicks off his menu with an impressive starter and his guests realise they’ve got a dark horse on their hands.

It all goes swimmingly until house-wife Rosemary puts a dampener on the evening by discussing beef tape worms just before Marty is about to cook the beef.

For dessert he serves a chocolate mousse, which is exactly the same dish as Jon is serving later in the week.

Will Marty pander to Rosemary’s demands of over cooking the beef or will he stick to his original plan of serving it pink? Will his mousse impress hard to please Jon but more importantly, will his hidden skills in the kitchen score high with the guests?

We're sorry, but due to copyright reasons we're unable to show Marty's recipes on this site.

  2. I really loved marty's menu. Its a pity that only a few recipes are posted, however, I have been digging around and found the following which mirrors the beef fillet recipe pretty well... I wonder if its the original!! http://uktv.co.uk/food/recipe/aid/557733 Also the pesto crust salmon started... and there a few varieties to choose from can be found at http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/3755/ I just can't find the chocolate mousse recipe and I didn't much fancy Jon's boozy mousse, so if anyone can find a similar one to marty's, pls share.

  3. "We're sorry, but due to copyright reasons we're unable to show Marty's recipes on this site" - Then he shouldn't be advertised! Can we get his recipe anywhere else?

  5. I watched the episode on Saturday and it's the first time I've ever been motivated enough to look on the website for the recipes. Marty's menu was fab and I was especially keen to try the Salmon starter. Surely you must be able to provide us with the name of the book the recipes were made from?!

  6. Just watched all episodes of Belfast's Come Dine With Me which I had recorded, liked the look of Jon's recipes so after DELETING the programmes from planner I switched on the computer to print off recipes (you know like they say on the programme 'go to channel 4 website for recipes' quote/unquote) and find 'due to copyright reasons we're unable to show recipes' grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

  8. It seems rather mean-spirited to proclaim you can't show the recipes, but then don't tell us which cookery book they can be found in; I assume that the copyright problems stem from the recipes having already been published.
