Interior designer Carlos Buller, from Come Dine With Me Manchester, knows how to throw a good party. The self-assured chef thinks he's the don of dinner party hosting because he "knows what people want". "They want the best and nothing but the best and I will give them that," he chirrups.
Carlos' dad is from Belize and he'll be drawing on his father's roots for culinary inspiration in his multicultural meal. Having cooked all the dishes before, he throws the measuring jug out the window and seasons by intuition, not even needing to taste the soup. "I know that'll taste amazing," he blindly boasts. Carlos claims never to have used a cookbook recipe and judges all his necessary amendments by eye. "When you stir, always stir with love, gently," he croons. Alright Carlos, it's only a marinade.
Definitely not a believer in less is more, Carlos' modest council flat comes complete with chandelier and guilt-edged mirrors. The designer believes in getting things looking their best and has blended his table decorations in keeping with his wallpaper. Some of his guests feel their host might be a bit saucy, what with his floor-length mirrors and deep red drapes, but Stuart's not impressed. "Makes me think of being a student," he chides. Where did you go to uni Stuart? Blenheim?
Dinner is served and precious Carlos is not pleased by Karen's lukewarm response. Quizzing her every move and mouthful, it's clear the would-be chef does not like to be criticised, especially when it comes to his crumble. Will his overbearing attitude overpower the meal?

To kick things off Carlos cooked up a Belizian dish - red snapper and sweet potato soup, followed by a mango and pineapple sorbet to cleanse the palate.

It was Belizian chicken for the main course.

In a final bid to impress Carlos served a Belizian twist on an English classic - banana and pineapple crumble.
