It’s day four of the competition in Ayr and time for upmarket Englishwoman Lizzy McCubbin to show off her skills. She’s pulling out all the stops to offer polished presentation and the finest cuisine.
Lizzy’s four-course meal starts with spiced pears with stilton and walnut pâté. Then there are individual fish pies, followed by the main course, gougère - a savoury choux pastry. For dessert, she’s serving champagne and raspberry jellies.
Businessman Forbes Robertson is tired of Lizzy getting his name wrong, so when the guests arrive he is wearing a giant name badge, but still the hostess insists on calling him Frazer. Lizzy wants to stop smokers Elaine Munro and Sarah Pickering from disappearing for cigarette breaks, but her thoughtful gift of nicotine gum does not go down well.
Will Lizzy’s faux pas cause her scores to nosedive?
