Self-appointed joker-of-the-week Trevor Smith planned a fool-proof feast for his Come Dine With Me Kent guests. Well, he tried
52 year old Trevor Smith loves music, Arsenal and Hawaiian shirts. He also loves red wine and after necking bottles of the stuff at Tanya's dinner party, he's battling a hangover as he prepares for his turn playing host.
Luckily for Trevor, wife Barbara has written out instructions to help his drink muddled mind cope with cooking din-dins. His tactics? Make it easy to cook and easy to serve and blow me, if Trevor doesn't think he's a Jamie Oliver in the making. "I reckon they'll think I spent hours slaving over these," he chirps as creates his vegetable kebabs aka, chopped vegetables on a stick.
Despite the best laid plans of the Trev 'n' Bev dream-team, it's not going well. Trevor's pasta and meatball main suffers when he forgets to cook the meatballs. And the pasta. To stop his hunger guests chewing off their own arms, he serves them a bowl of quail's eggs. A dinner party classic.
The cocky cockney's lost some of his banter as he faffs his way through course after cack-handed course. But against all odds, Trevor's guests are having a hoot.

To start, Trevor served mussels in white wine and garlic.

Vegetarian Tanya got stuffed peppers with feta cheese and olives.

It took long enough, but in the end the diners tucked into spicy meatballs with chorizo and pasta, while Tanya had vegetarian kebabs.

He forgot the oranges but Trevor's pud should have been chocolate port cream with clementine segments. Unfortunately we can't bring you Trevor's recipe but you can get your chocolate orange fix with this chocolate mousse with orange curd recipe.
