This week’s hosts all hail from Derby, home to a rich industrial history, time-honoured cooking and old-fashioned British values.

But there is nothing old-fashioned about tonight’s host 44-year-old Julia Knight: she might be a single mother of five but she also runs her own fancy dress company and is Derby’s premiere children’s entertainer. Yes, that's right, she is Coco the Clown.

Julia’s planning to bring some colour to her evening with a Mexican theme: that means lots of chillis, tortillas and an inevitable trip to the fancy dress shop to pick up ponchos, sombreros and some Zapata moustaches.

So will Julia transfer her entertaining expertise to a more grown up audience and stand a chance of winning the £1000 prize? Or will it be back to balloon sculpting for Coco the Clown?

  1. Julia reminds me of a 5 year old, her attitude is almost disgraceful and I found her behaviour quite offensive. I think Michelle was correct about her not being happy...

  2. I was really disappointed by Julia's attitude. Everyone made such an effort with their menus and it all looked lovely. Julia could hardly put her fork in her mouth without pulling a face. I don't really know why - her food looked the least appealing of the lot AND all her guests were extremely courteous. Waste of time. She should have come last - not poor Graham! Sorry, but I just had to get that off my chest!! xx
