It’s the second day of the competition in Swansea. And today it’s the turn of 57 year old golfing fanatic Ernest Lemonheigh, who is hoping that his traditional Welsh fare of cockles, bacon and laver bread will be enough to bag him the £1000 prize money!
It’s only the second day into the competition and already, all dinner party pleasantries have been well and truly left at home as Ernest and David go head to head in an ill tempered culinary battle. The first night clearly ended with bad relations between David and Ernest. But this evening’s host Ernest is confident he can do better.
First he serves his cockles which have been fried in bacon fat to vegetarian Sue! David, keen to get his own back on Ernest, helps Sue out by flushing her laver bread down the toilet. Karen also opts out of this Welsh delicacy - secretly swapping plates with Heather.
But ever confident Ernest still seems to think that he has delivered a winning night!
