It’s the last night of the competition in Derby and tonight our five diners will discover who’s won that £1000 prize.
Last to host is hip and trendy web designer Danny Fletcher - he’s half French, and so he presents his bewildered guests with a menu written only in French, a decision that leaves them stunned as they don’t know what they’ll be eating.
Has Danny burned his bridges before the evening has even started?
Once the party gets under way, there’s a chance for professional clown Julia Knight and pole-dance instructor Michele Cooper to finally air their grievances with each other as they grab Danny’s boxing gloves and come to blows.
Danny quickly tries to get the night back on track by serving up chicken terrine wrapped in parma ham, followed by a main course of duck a l’orange. Everything seems to be going well for the young pretender of the group, but then disaster strikes as he burns his pommes de terres.
And then there’s more bad news as dessert-hating Julia turns her nose up at his summer fruits pudding…
Will Danny’s Gallic charm win the day and see him snatch the £1,000 – or has he blown his chances by trying to go all ‘haute cuisine’? If so, which of the other guests will snatch this week’s prize?
