The final night in Cambridge and it’s the turn of ex-nightclub singer turned market researcher Carolyn Tycer who’s concentrating more on the entertainment than the food.
She’s roped in her best friend’s son to play her sexy waiter for this evening and she’s planning some salsa dancing to finish off a menu she describes as a 'Fiesta Feast of Colour and Taste'.
The only trouble is two of the guests are at war after house husband Phil insulted Simone’s cooking the previous evening.
However, when Phil arrives and gets down on bended knee to apologise to Simone the atmosphere is lightened and the party can begin.
Much to her guest’s surprise hostess Carolyn hops over her neighbour’s wall to retrieve the starter from his fridge as she didn’t have enough room, and then confesses her sauce came straight out of a jar.
Her main course is described as the kind your mum used to make before food got all fancy, but it is the dessert that steals the show after Carolyn discovers that it hasn’t set, causing two of her guests to cry real tears of laughter.
Her party is described as the best night of the week but are her easy to cook and simple recipes good enough to beat current leader and self described domestic goddess Simone?
