Spiky-haired, leopard-printed dinner lady Vera Liburd welcomes four complete strangers into her home for the first dinner party in Come Dine With Me Leeds.
And this dinner lady is hoping to cook her guests something a little more sophisticated than the average school dinner.
She's confident that she can impress these four foodies with her cooking, but nerves and her own lethal fruit punch ensure the evening doesn't turn out exactly how she'd planned.
Her guests, wine buff, Pippa Hudson, Porsche-driving salesman, Paul Ulett, entrepreneur, Craig McAlpine and university lecturer, Stuart Moss, are a little more exacting than primary school children, and they're definitely not too polite to criticise.
By improvising and taking a few bizarre shortcuts, a sozzled Vera manages to serve up her three courses. It goes from bad to worse, but can Vera's guests sympathise with her first night nerves?
