Repeat the process with the other whiskys. Depending on the varieties you choose, you'll notice that their flavours range from sharply alcoholic, to fruity, rounder flavours and from delicate, floral flavours to heavily smoked varieties that taste of bonfires.
Take a sip of water in between whiskys and nibble on an oat cracker to cleanse the palate. You don't want to confuse your apple-hints with your notes of volcanic ash.
