These little Chinese dumplings are normally made from pork mince, shrimp, ginger and soy sauce. However, wonton recipes vary across the country. Cantonese varieties are often served with noodles while Ningbo-style wontons often appear in soup. As well as looking luscious and tasting divine the word wonton derives from the Cantonese phrase for 'swallowing clouds'. With such a serene title who wouldn't wonton one?
